acr 9521 Floating Pouch for ResQLink PLB-375, Yellow

  • The ACR Pouch worked good for me. I looped it onto the belt of my motorcycle riding pants and I installed a tether to the ResQlink device just for extra security. I don\'t really think it could fall out of the pouch because it fits really tight but I installed the tether for added security. I looped the flap on the pouch through the top of the ResQlink device to make it fit in the pouch better. The device fits very tight in the pouch and the flap on the pouch doesn\'t seem to be long enough to close properly if you try and pull the flap over the entire ResQlink unit so by sliding the flap of the pouch through the top of the ResQlink device ( plastic loop on the top and bottom of the ReQlink ) gave me the extra length to close the pouch properly. I understand why the pouch has such a tight fit so the device doesn\'t fall out but the ResQlink doesn\'t really fit as well as it should that\'s the only reason I gave it four instead of five stars.
  • Snug fit around the device and provides some protection from accidental drops. The pouch does not change the form factor by much. It is still very compact. It has a loop attachment to secure it possibly to a belt, harness or life jacket. It would be better if it were more of a cell phone slide attachment vice the loop. If you\'re in the water and it\'s an emergency, you don\'t want to take it out of the since it doesn\'t float. Hence the reason you bought the pouch in the first place. But, if it\'s connected to a belt or harness, you\'ll have to either take it out of the pouch or disconnect your belt or harness to get to it. Not a show stopper, but reason I gave it a 4 vice 5.
  • Either these pouches shrink on the shelf or the personal beacon devices are getting bigger. Getting the device in this pouch was really really tight fit. the Velcro barely caught closed. Don\'t store the device in your pocket or in a bag. You may need it in a snit and don\'t want to be scrambling for it whilst grabbing for safe handhold. Your bag with it may be 10 meters away, floating away or sinking to the bottom of ocean. Get the pouch anyways, get it on you person. Maybe place it in boiling water for a few seconds to get it to stretch a bit more than room temp. If you don\'t have this device on you when needed, you\'ll be at room temp. without rescue coming.
  • People need to realize this is for the ResQlink, not the ResQlink+.Fits the ResQlink just fine. I bought this more for it\'s padded protection than for it\'s floating ability. The coverage is substantial enough I also think it will help keep dust off the unit. Stitching quality is questionable, but I don\'t wear it on a belt.
  • Fits pretty tightly, it is a stretch (literally) but still had to run the cover thru the belt type loop on the beacon in order for the velcro to reach, but fine otherwise and serves its purpose... That\'s why I gave it 4 instead of a 5
  • Overall it is a nice pouch and it does what it is supposed to do, loved the color as well ... unfortunately it does not fit my ResQLink+ model 2881 unit (pic attached). Well, I barely managed to close it by stretching it as much as I could. I am planning on modifying it so I can have a slightly larger strap and be able to close it properly. I guess I should have \"listened\" to the other reviews where people said it was not big enough.
  • Appears to be nice but it\'s advertised with the ResQ Link 400 and it Does Not fit that model.
  • Wore my PLB racing across the Gulf of Mexico for three days with no problems. I did attach a line directly from PLB to my belt, just in case and also so if I had to deploy I could not loose it.
