- Perfect for my Garmin in our camper van. Great fit in the standard sized cup holder, didn’t try the larger cup holder, may work well there to.
- Bracket is too small for the GPS holder ball mount. I had to order a new bracket! If I didn’t prefer the shorter base gps holder, I would have sent this whole setup back. Paid way more than the holder is worth in the end.
- I was concerned when I purchased it whether it would fit the cup from my GMC Terrain. I read several reviews that indicated it would not. I was able to release the expansion pieces that pop out and it fits perfectly. It is snug but I can easily remove it from the cup holder which I like because I do not always need the garmin. The height is ok and keeps the garmin solid with very little or no motion. It is a bit challenging when I start the car because the garmin sits next to the shifting lever. I have to put the car in gear before I adjust the garmin screen to suit my line of vision. I think it is a great safety feature. I recommend it to anyone. My only complaint is sometimes the garmin slips off the stand and I have to stop to hook it up again.
- The cup holder GPS mounting device has 3 braces that extend by twisting the knurled center ring. The braces have rubberized ends which ensure a snug, firm fit in the dash cup holder of my old F-150. The unit came with a mounting clip which fits my Drive Smart 51 perfectly. This mounting clip both attaches and disconnects from the GPS more easily than the one that came with the GPS unit, making the use of the mounting device very convenient. The device is well made and sturdy for a plastic item. And while I felt that it was priced a little high, I no longer think that, since I can see what an excellent implementation of this design it is. Glad that I bought it.
- I was hesitant to buy this because I thought it would be cheaply made and unstable. I am using this in my RAM 1500 center console cup holder with a 6\" Garmin GPS. I actually like the location and how this mounts in my truck. My GPS sits right within reach and makes typing or making adjustments much easier than if it was mounted on my windshield; plus it is out of my direct field of view. The Cup Holder Mount adjusted easily to fit my cupholder and did not budge. It is very well designed and built. There is very little movement/vibration through the mount on some very rough roads. On smooth roads it is completely solid. If this was broken, lost, or stolen I would immediately buy another....its that good.
- I drive a lot of rental cars and have struggled to find something to hold my Garmin securely in different makes and models. Since this fits into pretty much any cup holder it works it pretty much any car. The Garmin is a little low so you have to look down to see the directions but that is so much safer than it flying off the dash or the ac vent all the time. I also like that it doesn\'t block the ac vent.Recommend this if you use different cars. If you will be using this in just one car you might be able to find something that works well in your car that holds the Garmin up higher.
- The Garmin round adapter included in this kit does not fit on the ball of the cup holder mount. I ordered one of these, sent it back, received another and same problem... neither fit properly. I had to but a separate Garmin Round mount which then fit perfectly. The round adapter provided does not work with this ball mount!!!
- I used this attachment for the first time. It adjust very well to cup holder. I like it better than sticking the mounted one on the window. The cup holder can help disguise accessories in your car because a window mount will allow a person to know you have some kind of electronic in your car. With the cup holder, you can leave in the car and it will not be noticed that much.because the black blends in with the rest of the cup holder interior. Also, the cup holder is closer to the cigarette input for charging so the cord doesn\'t hang down and over the dashboard. Very good buy. It\'s Easy use with a minor adjustment depending the on the size of individual cup holder(s). I\'m glad I purchased this for my Garmin GPS.
