- After years and years of using my 3597, the cradle was so loose it would slowly start to slide down. Tried to fix it myself.. Well that was mistake. Thankfully you can still get these. Now it\'s nice and tight again.

- After using my Garmin GPS unit for several years, part of the inner connection to the magnetic cradle broke off, so the unit would simply drop off. My options: buy a new GPS (not practical) - buy a replacement from Garmin (too expensive) or buy this one - best choice. Even though I don\'t plan to use the suction mount, this combo was the best $ choice and the magnet portion works perfectly!
- Does what\'s intended. Doesn\'t stay stuck no matter how much you clean the plastic flat piece that it sits on, they rarely do once the vehicle gets warm.Good price point,
- It has a perfect finish, typical of the big international brands. It looks like an original part of a luxury car brand. The engineering plastic adds a touch and a superb look. Totally recommendable.
- Works perfectly on a Garmin 3597LM GPS. The suction cup can detach if you just need the magnetic craddle.The craddle will attach to any standard ball and socket window, vent, or dashboard mount. The craddle will attach snuggly to the ball and socket mount ensuring the GPS does not shift down or move without you wanting it to.The magnet is very strong and will keep the GPS in place over any bumps in the road you might encounter. I highly recommend this mount!
- I got this to for my Garmin nüvi 3597LMTHD 5-Inch GPS . My cradle had a crack that made the GPS angle downward when driving over bumps, so this seemed like the perfect fix.My only concern was that the suction cup wouldn\'t detach from the magnetic cradle, but I was happy to discover that it does detach and that it fits my Garmin Portable Friction Mount . In fact, it seems identical to the previous magnetic cradle. It now seems rock solid, so I expect the downward slump problem will be no more.
