ARKON Car Mount VSM Kit with Drill Base for Car Installation Arkon Dual T Pattern and Garmin

  • I have a Pro Mount AMP base installed in my car, with a  GOXT 23522 Black Adjustable Flip Lever Phone Holder  that I stick to it with double-sided tape. It\'s worked well, but it\'s just a wee bit too far out of reach, and tilted upwards too much. This mount base was perfect for both extending the mount enough, as well as the ability to adjust the angle. It was a bit of a gamble because it had the dual T tabs and my phone holder didn\'t, so I had planned on cutting them off, so it would sit flush against the back of my holder. This turned out to be fairly trivial, and I was able to use the included double-sided tape to attach the ball socket to my phone mount as seen in the attached photos.I have a different ball style mount from Arkon in my wife\'s car, and find that the ball mount always moves, no matter how tight I make it. The ball is plastic, the socket is plastic, they move. Arkon seems to have solved this problem with this mount, the ball socket now has a rubber insert to help prevent the slippage. Once tightened, it\'s staying where I put it.
  • I\'ve been using this attachment for a month now and so far, so good. Once the nut is securely tightened (not too tight it is plastic after all) the Arkon tablet holder that holds my 10\" tablet doesnt move at all.....even while driving on some of the bumpiest back roads!! Glad I bought it!! Update: 5 months later and this item is still holding up. I\'ve used it along with \"the Akron universal tablet holder\" about 10 hours a night, 5 nights a week since purchasing it and have had no problems.....I have only had to tighten it once and with all the bouncing around that happens while driving over 600 miles a night, its still staying strong!!!
  • This mount has been tough! It’s endured all sorts of abuse. I use mine to hold an Edge CTS on a vehicle specific bracket beside my dash so it’s quick to glance at. It’s way better than the suction cup mount that came with my CTS that continually fell out of my window. The mount still holds my CTS securely in place and doesn’t let it move at all. Even down rough dirt roads. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to mount a CTS somewhere other than the windshield!
  • This is kind of a niche product. It\'s designed to screw into various \"Vehicle Specific Mounts\" and mates with device holders that use the \"dual t-slot\" mounting mechanism. In my case, the latter are a Cobb Accessport and a generic phone holder (also from Arkon). The VSM I have is made by Bracketron and screws in behind the center console. This mounting plate aligns perfectly with the bolt holes in the Bracketron, is decently made, and the swiveling ball joint is a nice touch. If you have a Bracketron or other VSM, this mount should just work.Obviously, this product could also be installed via the included adhesive back.
  • Bought this to mount a Cobb Accessport. Tightens securely and looks to be solidly constructed. Once tightened, it stays in place securely. Using it along with a ProClips left ‘A’ pillar mount for the WRX. You can save yourself some money by purchasing the ProClip mount directly, along with this dual T mount from Akron.
  • Received quickly and works very well. Installed with the provided two sided tape in seconds.
  • The ball mount broke after only a few months. My wife got in the car one morning to find the GPS receiver had fallen down. I was pretty disappointed and had to buy another. This part seemed pretty fool proof. I\'m not sure what caused the ball to break from the post.
  • Love this
