  • I needed a mount for my GPS on my motorcycle and this worked out great. I was worried about fitment because I have aftermarket handle bars and they\'re a little thicker. But with the included rubber shims, it fit perfect and no slipping. Very solid and the GPS sits in the position I put it.I hope this helps.
  • The Garmin compatible mount fit well on my Suzuki and is a strong plastic. 4-Stars because ---the ball mount is slightly small and the GPS drifts down while driving and when it is rotated as far down as possible, the angle makes it so it does not take much pressure to cause it to pop off. There is an easy fix. Limit how far it can rotate , this prevents it from drifting and helps keep it from popping off.. The orange ring works great. I now have to find something that is less visible. They could supply a plastic or fam wedge. Other than that, the materials are good quality.
  • I bought a refurbished Garmin Zumo 4.3\" GPS for my motorcycle. It came with a bundle of accessories minus a mounting ball for the handlebars. This device snaps into the back of the clamp Garmin supplies and then connects to the mount. So I went on line to Garmin and after searching around had to call on the phone to get help locating the part. Garmin was very helpful and gave me the part number right away. However, the price Garmin is asking is $59. Unimaginable a dinky piece of plastic could cost that much. I found this item made by Arkon Mounts (Part number GN032) for 9 bucks and a couple of bucks more for shipping. It works perfectly and solved my problem 100%. It\'s good quality and easy to mount on handle bars. So glad I found this supplier. Kudos to Amazon and Arkon. One more reason to go to Amazon first when shopping around. I\'ve never been disappointed.
  • Was looking at bicycle computers to track our trips and it occurred to me that I already had a GPS unit, why buy another one. What we have is a Garmin Nuvi 260, a small basic automobile GPS. So, we took a few short trips over the weekend and our Garmin came along too, tucked away into a little pouch which rested across my top bar. There had to be a better way to do this I thought. So, to Amazon I went and well, here\'s the solution. This bracket is well made, tough plastic and includes some non-slip padding to wrap around your handlebar. Tighten up the two screws and one minute later... it\'s mounted. Detached the stock mount clip from the auto bracket suction cup, snapped the receiving ball joint onto my new mount, attached my GPS and took it for a spin around the block.Couldn\'t be happier. The ball joint protrudes enough to get full tilt in any direction using my 3.5\" Garmin and from the looks of it, the wider models should rotate just fine as well on Mountain Bike handlebars. On crazy chopper bars or the like, well you\'ll probably need to make sure you have at least enough horizontal bar to fit the GPS.Wish I\'d have bought this long ago, specialized bicycle trip computers are nice if you don\'t mind the small screen and can be pricey with all the features of a full Automobile GPS, which an older Garmin can probably be bought at a pawnshop for cheap nowadays (Amazon has them used for $35.00). So in total you can have a nice set up for about $50.00.
  • After several months of trying to decide between purchasing or making my own bracket for my Garmin Nuvi, I decided to look again for something already in production. After seeing this mount I decided I would give it a shot for $9.00 and by reading the comments left by others. It took a little time for the mount to arrive but this was expected since I did order just before Memorial Day. Everything I ordered arrived at the scheduled time and I couldn\'t wait to try this bracket out. It fit my Vstar just as I had hoped and from a life lesson from the past, I made sure to tighten one screw a little and then the other until it was snug and in the correct position. So far I have had zero issues with this mount while riding at normal speeds around town, on curvy back roads or on the Interstate at higher than posted speeds. I have had several people make comments about how they like the mount and wanted to get one for their Harley. Although it is not a fancy chrome mount (which who really cares since you will be attaching a black GPS to it anyway) it is absolutely perfect for its intended application. I have no hesitation in recommending this product to my best friends so you can be assured I would recommend it for anyone else who should ask.
  • I bought this to secure a Garmin to the handlebar of my Yamaha Royal Star (1\" bar), and was quite surprised that it was still necessary to use the included spacers to make it fit (1\" is about the thickest bar you\'ll find on most motorcycles). Still, it fits the bar well, shows absolutely no tendency to reposition itself, and the ball is a tight fit in the Garmin socket; the mount holds the Garmin close to the handlebar and mostly out of harm\'s way. Problem is, that\'s also well out of my normal \"riding\" line of sight - not such a big thing on lightly-traveled sections of interstate well away from population centers, but significant in urban and suburban traffic where a 1-second look at a screen low on the bar makes sudden speed- or lane-changes by close vehicles a real threat to life and limb. Still, it\'s going to be useful for the majority of my riding; when the traffic intensifies, I\'ll move the Garmin to the \"old\" mount three inches above the speedometer.
  • I used this to attach my Garmin GPS to my motorcycle. Device fit rather loosely (much looser than attaching to the Garmin mount I use in my car). The device would \"droop\" on the ball so it couldn\'t be read. I resolved this by adjusting the mount so the device \"bottomed\" on the ball in a position where I could read it while driving. However, hitting even a slight bump, and the device detaches and falls off. This happened several times on a 400 mile ride. In a car, if a device falls off the mount, it just hits the dashboard. However, on a motorcycle, there\'s nothing underneath the handlebars to \"catch\" it. Luckily for me, the power cable held the device until I could get stopped and reattach it, but this should never happen. I\'ll be looking for another attaching device for the bike, this one is junk.
