- Using this in a 2015 Tucson. Since the navigation I bought my wife came with the suction cup mount (and it is not legal in all 50 states), I was looking into a clean alternative for mounting her gps. The bean bags look kinda ugly, some of the sticky pads leave residue, and vehicle specific mounts get expensive. The Tucson has some grab handle type design element under the radio, so I wrapped this mount around it and hooked up the GPS. I got the idea from one of the vehicle specific mounts that clips into the seam between dash panels— this wraps around the same area and cost less than the $80 for the specific package. It is a little low for viewing, but works well enough and keeps it out of site from prying eyes (although I never leave it hooked up if we\'re not in the car).
- I used this to attach a fairly large Garmin GPS to the dash grab handle in my Jeep Wrangler JK. It holds tight and steady, but makes it real easy to move to another vehicle or bike. I put a rubber pad behind it to keep from marking the trim.
- Nice looking unit but my Garmin went flying when I hit the first railroad crossing on my bicycle. I\'m keeping it for less hostile conditions. Useful to a point.
- Excellent mount if you need a temp solution. Otherwise, Arkon makes more permanent, screw-clamping mounts.Oddly, I used this and Arkon\'s cell phone holder to mount my phone on a GoPro Karma Grip gimbal so I could use my phone as a Hero 5 monitor. This setup worked great and was perfect solution for attaching my iPhone to the gimbal.
- I bought this to mount a garmin on the roll bar on my SxS yamaha wolverine. It fits the top roll bar perfectly and is extremely secure. If i want to move it i can release tension on the clamp by hand and relocate it. I would buy again.
- I bought this hoping I could use it with the NYC Citibikes but their custom handlebar prevents use of this.If ARKON could make a model which is purposely designed for the bikes with a quick-release feature for their bike design, that would be great addition.
- I was looking for a gps mount for my roll cage. The suction cup windshield mount wasn\'t cutting it. This mount is easily moved wherever needed on the cage. Nice and sturdy. The ball is perfect size for the original Garmin clip. Great buy!
- My handlebars are not nice and round and this resulted in the standard plastic holder being put into a bind and eventually breaking. This band, not being solid, allows it to match the contour of the handlebars which creates a snug fit. So far, it has held my phone cradle in place,
